 Summer Kindergarten Prep:
Is your child ready for
Kindergarten in August? The Study is offering a 4 week prep class
for students heading into Kindergarten. The Study uses the Sonday
System to give your child the skills he/she needs to be ahead of the
game. We also incorporate Spanish one day a week and technology
every day.
There are two sessions.
Session 1 starts June 3rd-June
27th and Session 2 starts July 8th-August 1st.
Both sessions run from 12:30-2:30. ($400 per session for 32 hours of
instruction)

 Summer School:
We have
sessions for all ages. Younger students will experience reading
through the Sonday System. Older students will use SRA Corrective
Reading along with supplemental components that will customize and
complement your students program.
There will be two sessions:

Session 2 starts: July 8th-August 1st. ($500 per
session for 32 hours of instruction)
Year Long Academic
Kinder Prep: Are you a stay
at home parent that doesn't need daycare or a babysitter but wants
your child to be challenged academically before they enter school?
Research shows that school readiness matters in the long run and that
addressing a child's developmental needs before their first
year of school will boost their chances of success. The system used at
The Study is called Let’s Play Learn created by Sonday.
We also incorporate Spanish one day a week and technology every day.
This program is a perfect supplement for Kindergarten Children
enrolled in a home-school program. Here at The Study we are
offering a yearlong Academic Kindergarten Prep Course. Space is
limited to 8 students. Monday- Thursday, 10AM-12PM. Monthly
tuition of $375 per month. (approx. 32 hours of instruction)

 Jr. High Math:
Does
your child have difficulty with fractions, decimals, ratios, basic
geometry and basic algebra? This course gives students the confidence
they need for pre-algebra courses!
Session 1 starts June 17th - July
11th and Session 2 starts July 15th-August 8th.
Monday through Thursday 12:30 - 2 24 hours of instruction for $400
 Reading
Group Mondays -Thursdays
Workshop Cost: $500 for 6 weeks
The Sonday Reading System is a
multi-sensory, research based approach to reading. Sonday is used to
support beginning readers and readers needing additional support to
their established reading program.
For more information about the program, please feel free to stop in
and let us introduce you to Sonday. Additional groups may be added to
accommodate different reading abilities.
 Mastery of
Multiplication: This is a 5 week course that teaches the
multiplication facts in a fun but effective way. We believe so
strongly in this course because it gives kids the confidence they
need for long division, fractions, ratios and percentages.

Second Session Starts July 8th - August
6th. 12:30 - 4:00
7 ½ hours of instruction for $250
 Excellence
in Writing: The class
is a must for students that want to dress up their writing and
become an independent writers. This course teaches students to
dress up their writing with adjectives, adverbs, adverbial clauses,
who/which clauses, and the word because.

Mondays and Wednesdays
 AK Sea Studies Workshop:
Does your K through 3rd grade student need more
science? This 12 hour study will cover tide pools and AK sea creatures
in depth, using picture books, posters, the internet, games, writing
assignment, craft projects, DVDs and stories. It will be taught by
Patti Ireland. Starts: June 3rd-June 25th from
2-3:30. 12 hours of instruction for $350.
 One Hundred Dresses:
This workshop addresses “Mean Girls” and was created to address
relationships between Junior High Girls. Students will share/ discuss
and learn by roll playing. Four days starting June 3rd-June
6th from
4-5.

 Study Skills
June 17-July 11th

 Elementary Spanish: This course runs for 4 weeks and meets
twice a week for 2 hours a session. It is designed from Kinder-Grade
3. This class gives elementary students a chance to be introduced to
the Spanish language through, song, games and direct instruction. The
course is taught by Faby Peck.
 Homework Club: Students can come to The Study from 3-5
and work with a certified teacher in a group setting for a discounted
group rate. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Workshops must have a minimum of 3 students to
take place!
Alaska Studies for High School Students
This course is designed to
meet or exceed the state requirement for graduation.
